We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing tax services, managing client relationships, and guiding our staff to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, research, planning, and a proven ability to develop and lead a team.
– Provide guidance and support to staff members, including answering questions, conducting reviews, and facilitating their professional development.
– Conduct tax research, planning, and some preparatory work on larger engagements.
– Assist in new business development and identify opportunities for extended services.
– Recognize and address tax issues for existing clients.
– Develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members.
– Manage corporate and individual client needs regarding tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
– Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction.
– Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
– Oversee and review tax returns, working closely with the tax team.
– Provide timely and high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations.
– Handle routine client tax inquiries and collaborate with staff and senior accountants to gather necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
– Promote Firm capabilities beyond tax compliance when appropriate.
– Undertake research and special projects as required.
– Contribute to the professional and technical development of senior and staff accountants throughout their careers.
– Minimum of 7 years of experience as a senior accountant (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the partners).
-The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership (1065), S-corporation (1120S), C-corporation (1120), trust(1041) , and individual taxation (1040).
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
– Public accounting experience is required.
– CPA certification is preferred but not required.
