Kinsa is recruiting for a: Supply Chain Manager, Production Planner

Reporting to: Plant Manager

Location: onsite at Milton, NY 12547 (near Poughkeepsie NOT Saratoga Springs)

Our client is an importer, manufacturer, and distributor of shelf-stable food and beverage products, with a focus on ethnic markets.  This Supply Chain Manager works in their beverage bottling facility in upstate, NY and will be responsible for reviewing and prioritizing forecasts against manufacturing capacities and generating production schedules to meet customer and manufacturing requirements, while maintaining inventory levels.  The company produces their our own branded products, proprietary products, and third-party co-pack products in this facility and the Supply Chain Manager, Production Planner will be responsible for all of these types of beverage products.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Salary range: $80,000 – $120,000

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate contracts for and purchase ingredients and packaging for branded and third-party co-pack customers, including accounting for and cycle counting.
• Create, analyze, and publish optimal daily production schedule for beverage bottling operations; developing a level loaded production schedule; and adjusting to changes in demand.
• Communicate with operations, production, packaging and ingredients departments and logistics to maintain customer service and meet corporate efficiency as well as inventory and production targets.
• Assist with customer service at all levels to resolve all product supply and service issues.
• Eliminate supply chain waste through effective deployment of aging inventories.

Competencies Needed:

• Minimum of 5 years’ of experience within a manufacturing environment, beverage or dairy strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ production planning experience required.

• Solid understanding of production planning within an ERP system.
• Proficient with computers and Windows based software, in particular strong Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field preferred but not required.
