Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer in the Syracuse, NY area. This is a direct hire opportunity within the Advanced Engineering Group supporting an exciting new product development initiative. 

Key Duties Include:         

• Develop and implement new component quality processes.
• Establish supplier quality protocols to ensure manufacturing processes comply with requirements.
• Investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems.
• Conduct audits, analyze defect trends and lead continuous improvement projects to eliminate defects and error proof supplier processes.
• Enact corrective action processes related to any product or customer complaints and determine root cause. 

Education and Experience:

• BS in Engineering or related. 
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer capacity.
• Knowledge of PPAP processes and SPC.
• Problem solving skills (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Ability to travel up to 50% to supplier sites.
