Structures Superintendent- Bridges

Structures Superintendent- Bridges is responsible for meeting production goals by effectively managing multiple foremen, subcontractors, equipment, and maintaining safety standards. Supervises the work activities associated with placing precast or formed concrete structures on a heavy construction project. 5+ years of experience to direct project activities and supervise field personnel as required to successfully complete projects according to schedule. Supervising on-site trade and field personnel, and administering good construction safety practices for all on-site activities. Working knowledge of all types of equipment related to bridge construction, pile installation, structural concrete, precast beams and deck panels along with experience with cranes, pile driving equipment and vibratory hammers. Proven track record successfully completing heavy civil projects. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years’ previous heavy highway, road, and bridge construction experience.
• Medium to large heavy highway, road, and bridge project experience ($10M+) is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline is preferred.
• Knows different types/classes of concrete or rebar as well as the associated testing procedures and tolerances.
• Expert in forming systems, EFCO, DOKA, Wood.
• Have knowledge of working around existing utilities/utility locates.
• Knowledge of load charts and rigging. Be able to identify changes in scope.
