Staff Accountant – North Phoenix

Growing construction company in North Phoenix is adding a Staff Accountant to their staff. Reporting to the Supervisor of Internal Reporting, you will be responsible for financial reporting, ensuring compliance with policy and internal controls, generating and implementing process improvements and supporting various accounting department functions.

Hybrid Schedule 3 in office – 2 work from home

Responsibilities: 

• Perform fixed assets, general ledger reconciliation and analysis, journal entries, allocations and more
• Review classification of expenses in the general ledger report and prepare necessary adjustments in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Perform financial analysis
• Communicate and work collaboratively with Corporate departments and Area operations and administration
• Help with several audit tasks, including providing support and documentation for internal and external audit and various ad-hoc reports
• Identify and help to implement process improvements/efficiencies within the accounting department
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

Background Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
