looking for a Senior Project Engineer our Atlanta area facility. Responsible for the management of project development from initial inquiry to project execution.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Typically works on larger projects, ranging from 10k to $10MM
  • At times in conjunction with Global Engineering, responsible for the planning, monitoring and execution of the defined capital project scope, ensuring cost, timing and quality objectives are met.
  • Ensure schedule is adhered to during the life of the project.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on project milestones and providing appropriate status reports to management/stakeholders/customers.
  • Accountability to resolve any project issues and proactively resolve problems throughout the life of the project.
  • Overall responsibility for managing contractors for the site.  Including, but not limited, safety performance, auditing to good engineering practices, etc.
  • Supports junior project engineers and maintenance with technical expertise and/or advice.
  • Participates and lead interdisciplinary reviews on all new and existing projects, including but not limited to:  Process, P&ID, Hazop’s, PHA’s, MI, etc.
  • Travel 5-10% to vendor locations

 

Key requirements:

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Chemical preferred)
  • 5+ years industry experience preferably in manufacturing Project Management role
  • Strong project management skills and agile problem solving skills, experience in handling Operational Excellence projects, Development projects and CAPEX projects
  • Ability to handle multiple projects (up to 5) simultaneously, keeping track of costs and schedule and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Use organizational skills to prioritize and resolve project issues. Ability to evaluate solutions and recommend action based on scope, schedule, and budget
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box and development of innovative solutions for upcoming problems
