Sr. Design Electrical Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Digital and Analog circuit design

• Design prototyping and development testing

• Customer interface on new designs and current product issues

• Sales interface on new product specifications and features

• Lead engineer for subordinate engineers

• Benchmarking innovative technologies and improving existing technologies

• Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested by the Supervisor or Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• BS Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 10 years design experience designing precision electro-mechanical instrumentation • Experience using CAD tools for circuit analysis.

• Knowledge of SPICE simulation tools

• Knowledge of PCB layout techniques and CAD packages

• Exposure to QFD, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, Six Sigma, & Value Engineering

• Experience developing new products within a disciplined NPD process

• Experience in designing for FCC certification (EMC and EMI)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MS Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline

• Analog small-signal conditioning (active filtering, instrumentation amplifiers, etc.)

• Strong understanding of electromagnetics

• Switching power supply design

• Knowledge of flow meter principles a plus

• Knowledge of HBridge design and controls

• Knowledge of coil design

• Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation a plus

• MCU processor implementation

• FPGA exposure is a plus

• Mixed-signal circuit design and best practices

• Experience designing any instrumentation using electromagnetic, thermal, ultra-sonic, and Coriolis technologies.
