We are searching for a Sr. Scientist – Genomics with NGS industry experience, for an exciting biotech in the San Francisco Bay area. Sr. Scientist – Genomics will work with an R&D team building the world’s leading platform for precision genetic regulation to address serious diseases with little to no available treatments.
Requirements for the Sr. Scientist – Genomics:
PhD in Genetics, Biology or related field
3+ years industry experience working with NGS technologies, data sets, primary analysis, and characterization
Experience with DNA analysis / genomics applications in CRISPR, NGS, or qPCR
Excellent organizational and collaboration skills
Responsibilities of the Sr. Scientist – Genomics:
Conceptualize, develop, and execute genome-wide off-target characterization experiments with little to no oversight
Adeptly use RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Amplicon-seq, whole genome / exome-seq, etc and whole genome-wide methylation assays for off target characterization and other studies
Produce demonstration datasets and execute primary analysis for collaborations
Accurately document project, sample, experimental, and protocol information and collaborate with quality control and quality assurance teams
Mentor and assist junior lab personnel
