We are searching for a Principal R&D Electrical Engineer for a rapidly growing medical devices company. This exciting company develops electrophysiology products and is expected to go public this year.
Requirements for the Principal R&D Electrical Engineer:
7+ years of experience working in electrical engineering
Bachelors Degree or higher
Experience with electronics design tools such as schematic capture (Altium, Orcad),
Experience with IEC 60601 and familiarity with design to handle defibrillation.
Experience bringing up a medical device system through regulatory testing and into clinical use
Experience working with SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet and other interface protocols.
Familiar with PLL, DDS, ADC, DAC, power supply design and monitoring.
Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) SoCs and DSP filters.
Preferred experience:
Strong knowledge of the electrophysiology space
Experience working in a startup environment
Responsibilities of the Senior R&D Electrical Engineer:
Develop electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials through understanding of datasheets, schematics and embedded code.
Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting analysis.
Confirm system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties; simulation; quick prototype; and debug of electrical circuits and firmware.
Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
