The Account Manager – SaaS is a critical component for our clients the go-to-market pipeline strategy and presents an outstanding opportunity to learn fundamental sales skills in preparation for an exciting career in software sales. Our client has a fun, collaborative, and has a well-balanced company culture.

This position is remote and works from a home office.

The Account Manager will play a critical role in the early sales cycle and will often be the first contact for prospective customers Breakdown of responsibilities:

60% Business development related work

30% Account Expansion (a bit of a customer success hat)

10% Marketing (company outreach to life science events)

As a Account Manager, you are an ambitious and organized professional who loves working with prospective customers and bringing in sales leads. You are responsible for making a positive impression by being responsible for the first portion of a new prospects sales journey. The goal is to create great customer experiences by being a product expert and consulting with customers to identify their needs and pain points.

Requirements for Account Manager – SaaS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in a quota carrying B2B SaaS account management role
  • Strong prospecting, territory/account planning, and team-selling experience
  • Accurately forecast and track sales activities
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You have the ability to grow rapport and relationships with potential clients
  • You have a great attitude that can maneuver through ambiguity and the ability to work and collaborate with a growing team
  • You are an analytical thinker who leverages data to make informed decisions
  • You are curious: always looking for an opportunity to learn, grow and give/receive feedback
  • You are a results-oriented individual who is excited by the prospect of fueling the continued growth and success by growing the sales pipeline. You have a “can-do” attitude and are relentless in pursuing goals and solving problems
Responsibilities of the Business Development Representative – SaaS
  • Prospect and develop new customers for our SaaS Platform
  • Set up new trials/users for prospects/customers to expand use cases and drive more revenue
  • Drive customers through sales process by thoughtfully addressing key stakeholders in the buyer journey while navigating organizational complexities
  • Forecast pipeline accurately and achieve monthly/quarterly quotas
  • Work with marketing and the business team on executing campaigns
  • Help blueprint and improve on the sales collateral, processes, and training of the sales organization
