Our client is an Automation/Electrical Distributor with locations in the Midwest. They need a Sales Engineer (Account Manager) with electrical and/or automation products experience based out of their Omaha, NE location. This individual will be a very valuable employee to their overall business. The position requires the ability to manage various tasks in a detail-oriented manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Foster trusting relationships with clients, company staff, and vendor partners.
  • Communicate thoroughly and in a timely manner with clients and the sales team.
  • Identify sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Develop prospective accounts.
  • Negotiate sales and purchase agreements for customer accounts.
  • Maintain sales activity reports and track opportunities.
  • Assist with the identification of appropriate product substitutions as needed.
  • Communicate with our vendor partners to obtain product samples and support from them when needed.
  • Participate proactively in the self-education of product specifications, features, and benefits.
  • Participate in product training by others as required.
  • Strive to achieve goals set forth by themselves and the company.
  • Represent yourself in a manner that is mutually beneficial to our clients, our company, and our vendor partners.
  • Accept ownership of one’s responsibilities and assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of electrical experience.
  • Customer service, sales, or applications engineering experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or automation products.
  • Computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Note: To comply with state laws, the annual base salary range for this position has been provided as a guideline. The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as work experience, education/training, key skills, and other considerations.
