Positions: Sales Agronomist
Location: Kentucky (or surrounding states)
International company with focus on providing nutrition into the soil / at the root, is recruiting an Agronomist to cover Kentucky and surrounding states.
The company has a science-based plant and soil service offering. These services provide a valuable synergy between crop performance and technology to farmers. The solution includes a cloud-based data platform that supports informed decision making.
This role’s main purpose is to identify the needs of clients and recommend potential solutions utilizing the company’s technology, services and/or products. They will support and promote their clients business and growth
Responsibilities
• Advise client on plant nutrition to optimize yield
• Provide technical recommendations to customers based on various analyses
• Identify and implement business opportunities to grow company’s market share
• Build and maintain relationships with customers through regular on-site visits
• Market and sell products and services
• Secure repeat business
• Establish and position yourself as a strategic and trusted partner
• Preparing and presenting technical presentations to clients and industry stakeholders.
• Gaining extensive knowledge relating to the use and application of the company’s products within a specific geographic location and crop types
• Participating in industry associations, trade shows, and conferences
• Conducting research and development to facilitate continuous product improvement
• Performing field trials
• Compile sales budgets and meeting those budgets
• Maintaining financial and administrative records
Experience / Background
• BS or AS Agronomy or Related degree
• 3-5 years in plant health or nutrition
• Agronomist with customer references in the Region
• Strong understanding of regional crops
• Experience with precision agriculture, soil science, plant nutrition
• Passionate about Agriculture
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as on your own
• Ability to market and sell products and services
• Attention to detail and well organized
