Sales Account Manager

Our client is looking for a Sales Account Manager with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us. An engineering degree is absolutely required as well as experience with GT software. 

Territory will be all of Texas with 40% – 50% travel. This is a fully remote opportunity, but you must live anywhere within Texas. 

Position Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing our clients business through expansion within existing customers as well as new logo acquisition. The Sales Account Manager will do this by identifying areas in which the company software can provide value to our clients and then working to ensure our clients realize the value from our solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify probable new accounts that may offer commercial prospects.
  • Establish relationships and identify prospective opportunities within current clients.
  • Participate in conferences and trade events as a representative of the company to gather leads.
  • In collaboration with the company subject matter experts, analyze the technical needs of present and new customers, then design and provide simulation solutions.
  • Assist potential clients in selecting company solutions by serving as their primary business and technical advisor throughout the whole evaluation and selection process, including customer on-boarding.
  • Maintain SalesForce CRM to manage all opportunities throughout the process.
  • To identify and create new business prospects, lead outbound sales efforts by prospecting into new departments, divisions, and locations of both existing and new customers using email, phone, social media, and networking.


Education, Experience and Skills

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering is preferred or other technical degrees considered – Absolutely required
  • Experience as a “Sales Engineer” is desirable, someone who has worked in a supporting role for a sales team, can conduct product demonstrations or lead technical discussions.
  • Successful experience as a quota carrying sales representative selling simulation software (CAE) into manufacturing companies. – Absolutely required
  • Outgoing personality with a desire to build long term relationships with customers. 
  • Self-Motivated individual who acts with urgency.  
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM, Microsoft Office.  
  • Track record of achievement and consistent attainment/over attainment of their sales quota.  
  • Desire to grow professionally and take on additional responsibility/roles as it is earned.
