Job Description: Provides overall on-site leadership and management on a construction project site as it relates to Safety and Production
- Manage and schedule foremen and subcontractors on heavy highway, road construction projects
- Assist estimators and engineers with quantities and productions
- Develop and maintain positive client relations (owner, clients, consultants, public)
- Coach, supervise and train foreman and field employees on the project site(s)
- Establish performance and production goals for project teams
- Confer with management and engineers, inspectors and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
- Manage all the construction activities of the project in accordance with contract specifications and drawings and in full compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations
- Execute construction activities in compliance with the applicable schedule and budget
- Review project performance on a continuing basis and recommend to project manager corrective actions as needed
- Implement the Company policies and procedures
- Assist with On-the-Job Training
Job Requirements:
- At least 3+ years previous recent heavy highway, road, construction experience
- Medium to large heavy highway, road project experience ($10M+) is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills to include strong verbal and written communication
- Must be able to think independently and solve problems effectively OSHA Competent person certification
- Must have an excellent driving record
