Regional Manager– Light Industrial, Staffing Industry, Region -Houston/Dallas/Austin

Position Summary:

The Regional Manager, provides leadership, direction, and resources to the sales and recruiting teams for the assigned region while maintaining and growing a book of business. This role provides sales and recruiting oversight, training and technique implementation while driving sales through leadership and strategic planning. The Regional Manager will collaborate with field sales representatives and recruiting teams to create new business, support current clientele and provide resources needed to new clientele.  The Regional Manager will provide guidance towards increased sales and suggesting opportunities for growth development programs towards success. The Regional Manager is responsible for understanding and supporting company objectives, for sales, recruiting and safety as it applies to the company strategy and ideal clientele while being held accountable for the profitable achievement of company sales team goals.

Leadership Functions and Responsibilities:

Aligns company objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in strategic planning, strategy development, forecasting, resource planning, and budgeting. While making decisions that best meet the needs of the business.

Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives. Lead and manage the organizations sales team and recruiting team within assigned region with respect to the company’s strategic and sales plans.  Manages and oversee expense budgets, competitively valued proposals, and highly targeted sales campaigns, while operating within established budgetary and business guidelines.

Prepare and deliver sales presentations to assist sales team to close large opportunities. Act as a sales leader and company representative to sales representatives, recruiters and customers

Handles escalated sales, recruiting and safety issues and assists in providing customer facing representation to resolve any concerns on behalf of the company.

Representative Management Responsibilities:

Leads learning and development, impacting the sales organization and provides leadership toward achieving sales goals.  Leads learning and development, impacting the recruiting teams and provides leadership for the betterment of effectiveness of recruiting.  The Regional Manager oversees the effective delivery of training and development programs to their teams, actively monitors learning and development outcomes to ensure active engagement and implementation in daily activities.   The Regional Manager ensures all team members are knowledgeable regarding safety needs of individual clientele and provides safety guidance pertaining to company and OSHA standards.

Provides leadership to the team members while fostering a culture of accountability, trust, adaptability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior. Develops and models’ behaviors for team members through on-the-job training, coaching, and managing to the standards set and established by the company.

Leads change initiatives by continuously assessing the needs of teams and partnering with senior leaders to raise concerns and provide solutions, best practices, and offer improvements while simultaneously removing obstacles, in line with company established guidelines, which impede teams from achieving their goals.

Leadership responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work of sales representative teams and recruiting teams, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Market Functions and Responsibilities:

Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.

Monitors and analyzes competitive trends across the region to actively assist sales teams in developing territory sales strategies. Work independently and in close cooperation with sales and recruiting to foster and secure opportunities, including developing and refining presentations, RFP responses, panel discussions etc.

Maintain communication with key customers by developing close business relationships to monitor market conditions while remaining alert to new business opportunities and to ensure on-going account servicing in a manner that maximizes customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelor degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline preferred.

5-7 years professional sales experience

3-5 years’ experience leading a sales team

Specific experience – B2B Industrial.  Experience working with, and leading sales teams for mid to high volume sales. 

A proven track record of performance, where timelines are achieved, and deadlines are consistently met – detail oriented and driven to succeed.

Experience with development and implementation of strategic sales planning.

Experience with recruitment teams through oversight and/or participation

Experience with Microsoft Office is required.

TRAVEL: Must be willing to travel as needed, percentage of travel may vary from 25%-75%
