Growing Manufacturing firm 20 miles north of downtown Minneapolis has a need for a Quality Manager. This is a direct hire opening with a full benefits package.
Assembles all necessary inspection documents to accompany shipments. • Identifies and segregates discrepant parts, and notifies the Material Review Board of discrepant parts • Archives inspection records in the appropriate storage locations (both electronic and hard copy). • Identify improvements to processes to enhance quality, reduce cost, and increase productivity. • Set up, operate and program and complete CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections. • Select and use the appropriate handheld gage to perform inspection of certain part features. • Maintain part and lot traceability information throughout the inspection process. • Manage a highly efficient Quality Dept. • Promote a positive working environment. • Has great time management skills. • Provide other support as required or directed. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED. • Able to use vast array of hand measuring tools. • Demonstrated ability to use basic shop math, including percentages, proportions, calculated tolerance range, calculated dimensions, basic conversions, and measures of angularity (degrees, minutes, seconds, radians, grads, etc). • Ability to read and interpret procedures, work instructions, safety instructions, operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and other documents required to perform daily tasks. Preferred Qualifications: • Completion of a relevant 2-year technical degree program or equivalent experience
