Salary: This position offers an employement package with a competitive base salary, vacation, CME allowance, malpractice, and relocation. Student loan assistance is also available.

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a Pulmonologist/Pulmonary Disease Physician to join our team in Newport, Tennessee. This position is employed with a health system and offers an excellent management team and staff. The position will mostly be outpatient with occasional inpatient consults, with 80% of the time spent in clinic and 20% in the hospital. EBUS training is preferred but not required. The anticipated call coverage is 10 days per month, with the potential to increase if desired. Office space is available with two exam rooms and two staff members in support of the practice. The facility also has three OR suites and one endoscopy suite, though robotics services are not available.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

– Provide excellent care in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases

– Manage inpatient and outpatient cases

– Take call as needed

– Interact positively with colleagues, patients and families

 

Qualifications:

 

– Board eligible/certified in Pulmonary Disease

– Valid medical license to practice in the state of Tennessee

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

Experience and Skills:

 

– Experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases

– Knowledge of current medical practices

– Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

– Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
