Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time Psychiatry Medical Director to join our team in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Psychiatry, have experience in the field, and have or be able to obtain a SC Medical License prior to start.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

– Provide clinical oversight and guidance for the Psychiatric facility

– Supervise and mentor psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other medical staff

– Participate in weekly telephonic call

– Provide clinical services to patients

– Ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services

– Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

– Monitor patient progress and outcomes

– Develop processes and protocols to ensure proper care

– Participate in meetings and other administrative duties as necessary

 

Qualifications:

 

– Board Certified in Psychiatry

– Must have or be able to obtain a SC Medical License prior to start

– Clinical experience in psychiatry

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders

– Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Proficiency with computer applications

 

Experience and Skills:

 

– Minimum 3 years of experience in Psychiatry

– Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience

– Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards

– Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem solving abilities

– Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload

– Knowledge of current medical technology and terminology
