Salary: A competitive salary is offered for a qualified psychiatry hospitalist in Myrtle Beach, SC. The salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

Job Summary: A psychiatry hospitalist is needed in Myrtle Beach, SC to provide exceptional psychiatric care to inpatients as part of a team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible with plans to sit for boards and will work a 7 on / 7 off schedule with call split between providers.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric care and management to inpatients

• Utilize evidence-based practices to diagnose and treat patients

• Ensure quality patient care

• Document patient progress and provide regular updates to the care team

• Collaborate with other medical and mental health professionals

• Manage medication and treatment plans

• Provide crisis intervention as needed

 

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree

• Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry

• Active medical license in good standing

• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Demonstrated commitment to patient care

 

Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience as a psychiatrist

• Experience in an inpatient setting

• Understanding of psychiatric medications

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR)

• Knowledge of safety protocols

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
