Project Manager
DESCRIPTION:
PROJECT MANAGER position is available out of our Corona, CA office. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall administration and coordination of his/her assigned project for timely and profitable completion in a professional manner. Insure the Company and Owner goals are met. Exercise best judgement when authorizing cost and schedule matters as necessary.
Project Manager Role
Develop and maintain owner relations and contract administration
Manage assigned office and project engineers, including training and development
Implement and assist in project specific Safety and Environmental Programs
Administrate subcontracts, materials and purchase agreements
• Communicate effectively progress/problems to senior management, field superintendent/foreman, subcontractor and owner
Major Responsibilities
• Develop overall project PM schedules including “Three Week Look Ahead”
Coordinate establishment of field office location and setup
Coordinate necessary permits, licenses, as needed from governing authorities or regulatory agencies
Review and understand estimate and budget prior to construction Prepare agreements for all subcontractors, venders, and suppliers
• Prepare, review, and negotiate all change proposals and change orders from owner and subcontractors
Review monthly estimates with owner and subcontractors
Manage and coordinate Subcontracts on safety, performance, schedule, etc
Assist in coordination and change management of construction field activities
Review and or prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly cost/forecast reports
Review all monthly pay estimates with owner and subcontractor
Coordinate field construction activities consistent with budget and schedule
Manage project specific Safety & Environmental Programs
Project Close-out Responsibilities
Coordinate bunch-list procedures with owner
Coordinate and notify all Subcontractors and/or material suppliers of an deficiencies under punch-list which are their responsibility
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
2-5 years minimum of project management related experience
Experience working with public and private clients on projects in Southern California on highway heavy and civil construction related projects
Understanding and knowledge of contract administration with owner, subcontractors, and suppliers
Communicate effectively with project personnel. owner. subcontractors, and suppliers
