General Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the Project Manager with the overall direction, completion, and outcome of underground wet utility and utility plant construction projects up to $10 million in size.
Requirements
Minimum of 2-4 years of field experience with construction company self-performing work in underground wet utilities, with preference on experience with domestic water systems.
In-depth knowledge of field activities required for pipeline installation, shoring systems, traffic control, waterworks materials, and trench restoration.
Experience required in permitting, underground service alert, RFIs, change order pricing and management, scheduling, planning operations, field safety, daily work logs, ordering materials, scheduling and managing subcontractors, reading and interpreting contract plans and specifications, time and materials tracking, and assisting in managing client relations.
Able to draft and document official correspondence to clients and other business entities utilizing clear and concise, grammatically correct, language.
Must be able to drive and have clean driving record.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Directly related work experience in underground construction can be substituted.
Software Knowledge
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
Experience in any of the following area is a plus: CPM scheduling software (Primavera Suretrak, P3, or P6 preferred); PDF management and markup (Bluebeam preferred); InEight Hard Dollar estimating; Microsoft Visio or AutoCad; RapidPlan or other traffic design software.
