Program Manager

 

*Must Have Automotive Program Management Experience*

 

PROGRAM MANAGER SUMMARY:

The primary function and responsibility of the Program Manager, is to assure the plants are prepared to launch new products, mid cycle enhancement and another major projects as identified.

 

PROGRAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for coordinating the activities to assure the plants systems equipment, tracking programs are completed on time and in compliance with company systems.
  • Responsible for “Red Flag” process when launch is missing Key Quality or Timing Elements.
  • Responsible for all launch activity to ensure support departments stay in focus of launch objectives.
  • Responsible for providing accurate and timely reports of launch activity to upper management.
  • Prepared to coordinate multiple launches simultaneously.
  • Communication of program requirements to all related individuals.
  • Addresses designated facility capabilities and ensures issues/concerns are resolved prior to critical dates.
  • Supports TS16949 Business Systems.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 5 – 7 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Previous program management and Launch experience.
  • General knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, test engineering, and quality systems.
  • General knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data such as product income statements, return on investment analysis, net-present value analysis.
  • Ability to understand, track, drill-down, and question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon that data.
  • Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership and assertiveness skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
