Production Manager 

Location: Mauston, WI 

As the Production Manager you will lead the production process, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement throughout your unit. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing your production team and assigned shift(s).
  • Supporting the Plant Management and Staff, Supervisors, and hourly reports to achieve production objectives.
  • Ensuring safe production and high-quality products according to the SAP dispatch schedule.
  • Enforcing 5S practices and improving housekeeping standards.
  • Training new employees on machinery operation, quality systems, and proper setup practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with IATF 16949:2016 quality systems.
  • Addressing production and tooling problems promptly and taking corrective action.
  • Assisting the Quality Department in handling Material Review Boards (MRBs).
  • Initiating Tooling and Maintenance Work Orders to address equipment issues.
  • Facilitating continuous improvement through communication and department meetings.
  • Ensuring availability of supplies, tools, and equipment for efficient operations.
  • Adjusting work schedules as directed by the Plant Manager.
  • Possessing Lean Green Belt Certification (within two years), a high school diploma (or equivalent), and 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in computer skills, basic math, and measurement devices.
  • Having a working knowledge of ERP systems, IATF 16949:2016 quality standards, and preferably, automotive industry experience.
  • Exhibiting strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

  • Lean Green Belt Certification (within two years)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Proficient in computer skills (Windows, MS Office)
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 quality standards
  • Preferably, experience in the automotive industry
