Process Engineer Summary: The Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing and looking for improvement opportunities of existing processes and to develop and document best practices.
Process Engineer Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains the process standards in which all parts are manufactured.
Maintains documentation closely following necessary timeliness on specific projects.
Manages exploration of new materials and processes in order to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability.
Compiles data and analyzes past and current information in order to assist in the preparation of the budget.
Responsible for training the machine operating employees & supervisors.
Performs major process troubleshooting.
Works with other team members and outside contractors to plan, justify and implement capital improvement projects.
Coordinate all process and method changes.
Trains production team members in the operation of specialized test equipment.
Assist Engineering Manager in the management of Engineering department activities.
Manages, motivates, and leads team that works in the Tool Crib.
Verifies and applies narrow ranges for optimum process.
Reviews production and operating records and resolves technical processing issues.
Follows established action plans for processes out of range.
Specifies project management and buy off of new equipment.
Process Engineer Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience in time study and work analysis.
Business ethics and integrity.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Problem-solving abilities for operational problems, etc.
Organization/prioritization skills for scheduling, inventory, etc.
Working knowledge of continuous improvement skills/tools/methodologies.
