Job Summary: We are seeking a board eligible or board certified Primary Care/Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Laredo, Texas. This is a full-time outpatient only opportunity, which allows you to choose to work four 10 hour shifts or a standard 5 day work week. The ideal candidate will have the ability to obtain or maintain an active and clear Texas medical license in good standing and be eligible for the Physician Education Loan Repayment Program (PELRP). Bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

• Provide high quality patient care in a primary care setting

• Perform physical exams, interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans

• Ensure timely documentation of patient encounters and provide timely follow-up

• Advocate for preventative care and patient education

• Utilize patient-centered approach to care

• Maintain professional relationships with patients, staff and colleagues

• Participate in research projects and initiatives

 

Qualifications:

 

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine

• Ability to obtain or maintain an active and clear Texas medical license in good standing

• Highly organized and able to work independently

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team

 

Experience and Skills:

 

• Ability to provide high quality patient care in an ambulatory setting

• Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing an Electronic Health Record

• Knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines and best practices

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
