Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our established Orthopedic Surgery team in Knoxville, Tennessee. The successful candidate will have a Specialty in Sports Medicine and Robotics, Total Joint/Adult Reconstruction, and extensive training in Hip Arthroscopy as well as Hip Replacement. This position will involve a mix of Inpatient and Outpatient responsibilities, and will include the support of experienced Advanced Practitioners, as well as a strong Physical Therapist Department within the Clinic.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

– Diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions, both surgical and non-surgical.

– Perform pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.

– Identify and appropriately refer patients to other medical specialists and services.

– Remain up-to-date with latest developments and technology in the field of orthopedics.

– Follow best practices and safety protocols.

– Participate in research and other academic activities.

– Ensure positive patient outcomes through effective communication and collaboration with other medical staff.

 

Qualifications:

 

– Must be Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.

– Must have a valid medical license in the state of Tennessee.

– Experience in Sports Medicine and Robotics, Total Joint/Adult Reconstruction, and extensive training in Hip Arthroscopy as well as Hip Replacement is preferred.

– Must have excellent surgical skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– Must be able to solve problems quickly and effectively.

– Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively.

 

Experience and Skills:

 

– Proven expertise in Orthopedic Surgery.

– Experience in Sports Medicine and Robotics, Total Joint/Adult Reconstruction, and extensive training in Hip Arthroscopy as well as Hip Replacement is preferred.

– Excellent surgical skills.

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

– Attention to detail and ability to follow best practices and safety protocols.
