Job Description
- Lead daily operations across chemical handling, packaging, scheduling, and shipping
- Supervise a team of 30–40 employees and oversee all aspects of production efficiency and safety
- Implement and enforce OSHA, DOT, and internal safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase throughput and reduce waste
- Manage raw materials, packaging inventory, and production planning
- Conduct audits and implement corrective actions for quality and safety issues
- Use KPIs and operational data to monitor and improve performance metrics
- Train team members on best practices in safety, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment and process upgrades
- Report to the Site General Manager and contribute to strategic planning
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in operations management in a chemical or industrial environment
- Proven experience working with hazardous chemicals and strict safety compliance
- Strong leadership background with experience managing 30+ direct reports
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., D365) and inventory tracking tools
- Strong communication, process improvement, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory requirements
