Job Title: OB/GYN Laborist

 

Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania

 

Salary: We offer a competitive salary for this position. Depending on experience and qualifications, a full-time OB/GYN Laborist may be eligible for a relocation allowance, commencement bonus, CME assistance, loan repayment, stipend options, and medical education debt repayment.

 

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced OB/GYN Laborist to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) team. The OB/GYN Laborist will be responsible for providing specialized care to OB/GYN patients. Our OB program is the largest in northeast Pennsylvania and we deliver 1,900 babies annually. The OB/GYN Laborist will have access to a neonatologist and epidural anesthesia coverage by an anesthesiologist.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

• Provide specialized care to OB/GYN patients

• Manage complex and high-risk cases

• Collaborate with care teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction

• Develop and implement evidence-based strategies for patient care

• Monitor and evaluate patient progress

• Document patient care

 

Qualifications:

 

• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in OB/GYN

• Must have a valid medical license in Pennsylvania

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

Experience and Skills:

 

• 5+ years of experience in OB/GYN

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge

• Knowledge of current OB/GYN standards of care

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations

• Proficient in the use of electronic health records
