Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Neurologist to join our team to replace a physician leaving the community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice in an outpatient setting, with an office space attached to the main campus. Moreover, they will have the potential to teach within the NERMC’s five residency programs – Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Dermatology, and Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal residency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Diagnose and treat neurological disorders
– Examine patients to assess neurological condition
– Administer tests and analyze results
– Prescribe medications and treatments
– Interpret diagnostic images such as CT scans and MRIs
– Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans
– Provide patient counseling and education
– Collaborate with other medical professionals
Qualifications:
– Medical Degree in Neurology
– Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Missouri
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in neurology
– Knowledgeable about current medical trends and advancements
– Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to think critically and make quick decisions
– Demonstrates compassion and empathy towards patients
Experience and Skills:
– Experience in diagnosing and treating neurological diseases
– Proficient in performing neurological examinations
– Skilled in interpreting test results
– Familiarity with neurological imaging
– Ability to build trust with patients
– Knowledge of current medical regulations and standards
