Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Neurologist with specialized interest in seizure/headache, sleep medicine, and the ability to read 3hr EEG studies. This position will involve both inpatient and outpatient settings, and will cover IP consults/call including our certified stroke program. The hospital has onsite EEG capability, advanced imaging, interventional radiology, and a sleep center. Experienced or new graduates are welcome, and office space is available.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

– Provide medical care to patients with neurological illnesses

– Diagnose and treat neurological conditions

– Refer patients to specialists as needed

– Develop and implement patient treatment plans

– Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

– Stay up-to-date on the latest in neurological treatments and advancements

– Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards

 

Qualifications:

 

– MD or DO degree in Neurology

– Epileptologist training required

– Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas

– Board Certified or Board Eligible

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

– Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

– Ability to work with patients in a compassionate and understanding manner

 

Experience and Skills:

 

– Experience in Neurology or related field

– Comprehensive knowledge of neurological conditions and treatments

– Skilled at performing neurological exams

– Ability to read 3hr EEG studies

– Proficient in the use of medical software

– Knowledge of current healthcare regulations
