Network Engineer

Eden Prairie, MN

$100-150K 

Our Eden Prairie, MN manufacturing client is looking to hire a Network Engineer to preferably work onsite in Eden Prairie, MN but could have the potential to consider a remote person.  The Network Engineer ensures proper design, implementation, support and administration of the company environment.  Areas of support includes: WAN, LAN, VPN, SDWan, Wireless, Manufacturing Networks, and Security Systems. The Network Engineer also provides the vision and strategy necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability and security.

 

Qualifications:  

·         5+ years of previous Network Administration experience in a multi-facility organization is required.

·         Manufacturing experience is required.

·         3+ years of Network Security Administration required.

·         Excellent analytical and organizational skills

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skill

·         5 -7 years working with Aruba/HP network infrastructure preferred.

·         5 years designing, deploying and managing Aruba Networks/WIFI preferred.

·         3 years implementing and or supporting IPS/IDS systems desired.

·         CCNA certification or equivalent experience a plus.

·         CISSP certification or equivalent experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

·         Manage and perform administration of all network, security, and associated equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). This includes ensuring proper backups are complete, making recommendations for upgrades and changes as required to support overall business objectives.

·         Leads creation of standards for new technology.

·         Guides, directs, or recommends enhancements for system performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity.

·         Develop and provides solutions targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new service network/security platform solutions for business and infrastructure services.

·         Provides senior technical leadership, representing network designs and support requirements.

·         Troubleshoots, resolves, and recommends improvement for systems, network, and security problems at an advanced level.

·         Authors and provides input for systems and services, documentation, procedures, and processes.

·         Develops and performs capacity and resource planning to optimize and expand existing network systems.

·         Expand Network monitoring across entire environment

·         Enhance Firewall design and security

·         Work with vendors and support teams on new and existing technologies to develop relationships and expand environment capabilities and services.

·         Make plant visits as required to provide on-site support installations as needed.

·         Assist with daily Helpdesk issues as required.

·         Qualified and trained individual will provide as a back-up in the event of an absence of another employees.

·         Perform special projects and other responsibilities as needed.
