This full time, permanent Mechanical Project Engineering Designer is at an employee-oriented, custom automation engineering design company. The company takes designing custom automation equipment to a new level. The company does a lot of machine building from scratch but is also making standard products that are sold around the world. The engineering group consists of six engineers so an engineer can have a big impact at the company. The company promotes from within.
The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:
Designing machines from concept through completion
Creating custom automation and robotic work cell equipment
Finding solutions to problems
Seeing jobs through to production
Working with machinists, assemblers and electrical personnel
Working as a team
Managing projects and/or projects within time constraints
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
A mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering degree
Two years of custom automated equipment machine design experience from from concept to completion
SolidWorks experience
An understanding of machine tool, material science, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts
An understanding of machine design and power transmission
