Capital equipment manufacturer located in the greater Knoxville area has immediate opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. This person will work closely with Sales Engineers and Project Managers to design custom equipment involving mechanical, electrical and electronic components. Must have knowledge of ASME / Pressure Vessel codes.
Position requires BSME or similar degree along with experience in SolidWorks or Inventor software. Must have 3+ years Mechanical Design experience working with capital equipment.
Knowledge of HVAC, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, etc is required. Will develop P&ID drawings, select proper components, and generate BOM’s. Will also be involved in sizing pumps and pressure relief valves.
This position will be part of a small Engineering team. Must have strong communication skills and a good team work approach. Excellent work environment with minimal overtime required.
