Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
Maintain focus on safety initiatives and guidelines and methods to maintain and improve safety in the plant.
Utilize continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
Create design layout of equipment and workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
Identify opportunities to implement changes, improve processes, and/or reduce costs by using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, product design, materials, and parts.
Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
Remain current on new technologies and ideas and apply new knowledge to the manufacturing systems and processes.
Understand long-range objectives and implement strategies and actions to achieve them.
Evaluate current and proposed manufacturing processes or practices for environmental sustainability, considering factors such as greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, water pollution, energy use, or waste creation.
