Solid manufacturing client of ours in need of a Manufacturing Engineer.
Summary: Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
Works with manufacturing, engineering and customers to develop optimal solutions for customer requirements
Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of
workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and
production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring
job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended
process improvements to management.
Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) or equivalent; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as
progressive die and mechanical presses, press brakes, horizontal saws, plasma and laser cutting machines, manual 2 component paint spray systems, manual and robotic MIG weld systems, orbital riveting systems and design, vertical CNC mills and horizontal CNC lathes with live tooling, Keyseaters, and rolls is a plus.
Computer Skills: Epicor ERP, AutoCAD, Inventor, RADAN, Lincoln Weld-Pro, Trump Press Brake Unfold and Bend Software
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
