Manufacturing – EHS Manager

Position: Manufacturing – Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

Location: Danville, VA 

 

Medium size business in the Danville area with Manufacturing Solutions is recruiting Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.

 

Individual will be involved and responsible for all the areas of EHS.

 

This role will support onsite internal and partner manufacturing initiatives related to EHS

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

–        Design and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs that align with the company’s strategic objectives.

–        Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to EHS.

–        Develop and lead regular EHS training programs

–        Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance

–        Maintain and be responsible for all EHS documentation

–        Prepare and submit accident reports, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

–        Perform risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation strategies

–        Develop and maintain emergency response plans

–        Work with senior management and other departments to establish EHS goals and provide guidance on strategic EHS initiatives

–        Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of safety equipment

–        Stay current on the latest environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and best practices

REQUIREMENTS

–        Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related technical discipline

–        Minimum of 5 years of related experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment

–        Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

–        In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental management systems
