2. Data Governance and Compliance:

• Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of financial data.
• Monitor and enforce data quality controls, data retention policies, and data access permissions to comply with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
• Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate data risks, ensuring data privacy and confidentiality.

3. Team Leadership:

• Manage a team of accounting systems and data governance professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA) preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting systems management, data governance, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data management tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
