Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager has specific responsibilities to direct the maintenance programs to ensure timely and effective production. Provides leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance for all maintenance activities.
Duties:
• Follow and implement all safety procedures, equipment, and performance standards
• Execute, oversee, and direct all facility repairs, equipment repairs and equipment installation
• Oversee all maintenance needs for the main production plant and four external warehouses
• Manage and directs all maintenance personnel including the janitorial staff
• Execute and implement best preventative maintenance practices to ensure the plant operates on
schedule
• Present and suggest better equipment, process solutions, and generate cost saving scenarios
• Coordinate and give guidance on maintenance requirements to management
• Manage schedules for people and equipment
• Assemble and submit monthly reporting metrics and information using statistical analysis
• Coordinate and communicate equipment issues to production team and management
• Manage, oversee, and coordinate all maintenance related inventory requirements
• Communicate equipment preventative maintenance needs between production plant and operations
• Regularly report on equipment issues and downtime
• Identify discrepancies that occur from projected results and formulate conclusions and recommendations
based on data obtained
• Evaluate and assist in the design and implementation of modern technologies and process equipment
• Follow and implement safety and environmental performance standards
• Manage on-site contractors
• Interact with engineering projects
• Ensure PM schedules are implemented and followed (track progress and deficiencies
• Assist engineering staff with install, startup, and implementation of new equipment and equipment upgrades
• Special projects as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
• Two-year mechanical/electrical technical degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in maintenance
• A minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience
• Good understanding of the technical features of controls, electrical systems, plumbing and carpentry
• Excellent organization and leadership abilities
• Exceptional communication and people skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
