Description:

This opportunity is with a high-purity specialty chemical manufacturer located nearby New Jersey. This is an onsite role at a medium sized plant that is fully automated (DCS controls) producing products for the automotive and consumer goods industries. This site has a phenomenal safety record and housekeeping. It has implemented great preventative and predictive maintenance programs with $5M of capital being invested annually, with talks of major expansions in the near future. This site has a fully staffed maintenance department including maintenance and electrical technicians. Some of the equipment being used are pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, pressure vessels, and distillation columns. 20% of the time you’ll be doing day-to-day support, 30% will be short term assignments, and 50% will focus on long term initiatives. You’ll be assisting with designing and completing projects, analyzing failures/repairs, root-cause analysis, and setting department goals. You’ll be able to wear multiple hats, gaining hands on experience involving various skills. You’ll have the opportunity to take initiative and manage your own tasks while building up your responsibilities and collaborating with other engineers on site. You’ll be reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. Most people live in PA, DE, and NJ which are surrounded by a lot of reputable school systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineer, will consider closely related
• 2+ years of in plant engineering experience with maintenance/reliability
  • Background out of chemicals, foods, or widgets preferred
• SAP knowledge preferred, but can be taught
