Jr Process Engineer

Department: Engineering

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Senior Process Engineer

Location: Evansville, Indiana area

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our Engineering department. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality standards are met. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement process improvements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of process changes
  • Monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization
  • Conduct root cause analysis for process failures and implement corrective actions
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams
  • Participate in new product development projects, ensuring manufacturability and scalability
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment 1+ years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques and methodologies
  • Proficient in process simulation and modeling software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements
