I.T. Support Specialist
Location: Monticello, IA or Louisville, MS
Type: Direct Hire
 
POSITION SUMMARY
Optimizes use of technology, address and resolve technical issues, document
configurations and resolutions, and manage the technological infrastructure to meet the needs of the organization.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
1. A positive role model consistent with the organizations culture at all times.
2. Resolve tickets representing technical requests and/or problems in a timely manner.
3. Troubleshoot technical and process issues. Documenting resolutions and configuration
changes.
4. Documents, implements, maintains, and supports I.T infrastructure to include, but not limited
to desktops, laptops, peripherals, network equipment, and software applications.
5. Perform regular patch maintenance on I.T. supported devices within the company.
6. Test/Install/Upgrade application software to support company operations.
7. Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics
8. Creates and maintains user accounts in Active Directory, Office365 and other applications.
9. Stays informed and educated on new and emerging technologies.
10. Travels to manufacturing locations and for training as required.
 
Education:
  • Required Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar.
 
Experience:
  • Required 2 or more years business experience supporting and managing Windows desktops and servers
  • Ability to anticipate, analyze, and solve a wide variety of technical problems
  •  
    Ability to work independently and grasp new tasks quickly
  •  
    Excellent verbal and written communications
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • CompTIA A+ preferred
  • Network+ preferred
  • Security+ preferred
  • Or equivalent experience
