We are seeking a hands-on, technology savvy Applications Sales Engineer to facilitate the selection and sale of state-of-the-art nondestructive (NDT) inspection and validation equipment packages at a variety of pharmaceutical, medical device, food, and related manufacturing locations throughout North America.  This role will support all technical aspects of the client interface, including system requirements and equipment specification, design, field and virtual product demonstrations, proposal presentations, validation, client training, and field support of existing installations. This role will also participate in new product development, testing, and creation of new processes and methods to improve product performance. Occasional global travel will be necessary to support overseas clients as well. You will work out of the Hawthorne, NY, office with occasional home office opportunities as well.

 

Essential Job Functions include:

  • Partner with Global Sales Team members to drive sales and achieve annual goals.
  • Interface with both Sales and Engineering Teams to assess client needs, including sensory technologies, hardware, software reporting, product sample testing and reporting, and NDT inspection system requirements. Activities supporting these goals include onsite visits, lab validations, and field/virtual product demos.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for customers and prospective clients.
  • Prepare and lead presentations detailing product performance and new capabilities as developed.
  • Provide advanced application support on onsite training for customer installations.  
  • Work from Hawthorne, NY, headquarters and travel as required (approx. 40%) domestically and periodically internationally to support project activities.

 

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electro-mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical equipment operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or field service, repair, or integrity testing of automated packing and filling equipment systems.
  • Excellent Communication Skills and ability to present effectively to customers.
  • Detail oriented, hands-on and action minded with an ability to assess and complete activities necessary to drive projects to completion.
  • Expertise in organizing information, analyzing it, and developing compelling proposals to win client approval and facilitating delivery of superior equipment solutions.  
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40%, including occasional international travel.
  • High competency and proficiency with MS Office products including Power Point.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license with good driving record.

 

Compensation for this position includes an attractive base salary commensurate with experience, annual bonus incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The candidate must reside or be willing to relocate to Hawthorne, NY.
