Job Title: Gastroenterologist

 

Location: Laredo, TX

 

Salary: We are offering a competitive base salary based on Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) guidelines. Additionally, the successful candidate will receive assistance with student loan repayment and relocation expenses, with no state income tax applicable.

 

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to join two other GI physicians with over 20 years of experience in Laredo, TX. The successful candidate will be joining the busiest Gastroenterology practice in the area and will be responsible for a mix of inpatient/outpatient procedures.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

-Provide patient care in accordance with the highest professional standards

-Perform duties in accordance with established medical and ethical guidelines

-Provide guidance and support to other healthcare professionals

-Monitor, diagnose, and treat gastrointestinal disorders

-Perform endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, if trained

-Participate in research activities

-Comply with safety regulations

 

Qualifications:

 

-Must be board eligible/board certified

-ERCP training preferred, but not required

-Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Commitment to patient-centered care

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team

-Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

 

Experience and Skills:

 

-Minimum of two years of experience in the field of Gastroenterology

-Thorough knowledge of medical standards and best practices

-Proficient in the use of relevant technology and medical equipment

-Ability to maintain detailed and accurate medical records

-Able to work in a fast-paced environment

-Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
