Job Title: Gastroenterologist
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee

Job Summary: We are seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years’ experience and J1 candidates are welcome to apply. EUS and EBUS training is preferred, and the ideal candidate should be available for call coverage 1:3. The clinic is located adjacent to the surgery department with anesthesia support, and the state-of-the-art da Vinci® robotic surgical system is available.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Perform clinical duties as a gastroenterologist
• Ensure patient safety and satisfaction
• Assess patients and diagnose gastroenterology-related conditions
• Prescribe and administer necessary treatments
• Refer patients to other specialists as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and reports
• Help develop departmental policies and procedures
• Educate patients and their families about their condition
• Track and analyze clinical outcomes
Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree in medicine and completion of a gastroenterology residency from an accredited program
• Licensure and board certification in gastroenterology
• Ability to work collaboratively with other medical professionals
• Knowledge of medical terminology and current medical technology
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to build relationships with patients and staff
Experience and Skills:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in gastroenterology
• EUS and EBUS training preferred
• Ability to provide call coverage 1:3
• Experience working with state-of-the-art da Vinci® robotic surgical system
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, EHR/EMR systems, and other medical software
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines
