Job Summary: Our clinic is looking for an experienced Gastroenterologist to provide quality patient care and service. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases of the digestive system, and will be expected to provide comprehensive, patient-focused care.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

• Diagnose and treat conditions of the gastrointestinal tract and related organs

• Perform endoscopic procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP

• Interpret test results and develop patient treatment plans

• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure effective patient care

• Educate patients on lifestyle changes to improve their digestive health

• Maintain medical records, including patient history and care plans

 

Qualifications:

 

• MD/DO degree, or equivalent, and board certification in Gastroenterology

• Five plus years of experience preferred, however, new grads will be considered

• Current medical license to practice in the state of Tennessee

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of current medical practices and procedures

 

Experience and Skills:

 

• Proficient in endoscopic techniques and procedures

• Familiarity with gastrointestinal disorders

• Excellent patient care and customer service skills

• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations

• Ability to work within tight deadlines and rapidly changing environments

• Ability to multitask and prioritize patient needs
