FLEET MANAGER – Buford County, GA area

We are looking for a Fleet Manager and Dispatcher for a small operation of 10 trucks and drivers. The drivers are on the road delivering to customers within the USA.

You will manage Interstate Over-The-Road drivers as well as company assets (Sleeper trucks & 53’ Van trailers). You are also responsible for assisting in the recruitment of quality driver into the fleet, maintaining detailed records of truck servicing and inspection / scheduling regular truck maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

Fleet Manager Responsibilities:

• 5-7 yrs Experience
• Maintaining vehicles for deliveries
• Coordinate inbound loads (some multi-stop) from locations throughout the US. This to include the return of steel returnable crates to the manufacturer
• Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet
• Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits
• Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management
• Finding ways to cut cost and maximize profits
• Researching and doing what it takes to insure all of the company’s assets are properly licensed and have the proper registration

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High proficiency in Excel
• Thorough knowledgeable of DOT regulations including Hours of Service regulations
• Responsible for truck maintenance service and repairs (10 OTR trucks)
• Experience to schedule drivers to maximize the drivers’ earning potential by maximizing their weekly miles and ensuring that the driver is home on weekends.
• AAS degree nice to have
