Financial Reporting Analyst

Our client is experiencing growth and because of this growth and the exciting direction they are taking as an organization, they are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Analyst, Financial Reporting.

As a member of the Financial Reporting Team, reporting to the Leader of Financial Reporting and Investor Relations, you will have the opportunity to work in a changing and collaborative environment where you can influence and positively impact the organization.

In this role, the successful candidate will focus on the following:

• Prepare lead schedules and financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
• Coordinate monthly internal financial report(s) and prepare related schedules;
• Perform month-end, quarter end closing activities as part of a team effort to ensure deadlines are met;
• Subject matter expert for SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (“BPC”);
• Load and input data from BPC to Hyperion and prepare Notes and Analytics;
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results;
• Prepare SAP & BPC monthly reconciliation;
• Streamline processes, create tools & analytical solutions to simplify financial reporting;
• Assist with SOX documentation process updates and controls within the reporting team;
• Address ad-hoc requests as they arise;
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:

• University graduate with 8+ years related experience;
• Public accounting firm external audit experience with a professional designation (“CPA” or “MBA”) preferred;
• Experience building and maintaining reports in BPC;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills supported by an understanding of accounting, pension accounting, and the application of GAAP;
• Must be flexible and open to the role changing as business needs and priorities change;
• Excellent organization, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines with multiple priorities;
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
