RESPONSIBILITIES

 ·Lead semi-annual physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts including planning, coordinating all locations, variance adjustments and analysis.

· Complete month end close activities including, but not limited to prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, trend analysis.

· Complete month end reporting packages

· Investigate inventory and counting variances and resolve issues

· Investigate transaction errors and resolve accordingly

· Process daily and monthly inventory transactions as needed

· Prepare and distribute daily and monthly cost and inventory reports

· Review FIFO layers vs actual costs for inaccuracies

· Manage Standard Costs and set them monthly

· Load data into BOM (bill of material) on new and existing items

· Analyze gross profit variances relative to prior periods, budget and forecast

· Prepare and Analyze Gross Margins by customer and product type

· Prepare annual cost of goods sold budget

· Complete year-end close duties

· Utilize multiple systems to manage inventory transactions including order entry, ERP and WMS systems

· Strong knowledge of product costing structures

· Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and how product costing flows through the accounting system to impact the general ledger

·Perform other duties assigned as necessary
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 

· BS Accounting required

· Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

· Previous Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) or similar ERP experience

· Proactive problem solver who works well with team and is solution-oriented

· Self-starter and motivated

· Intermediate to advanced MS Office, Excel and Word skills

· SQL skills preferred

·Well-developed understanding of manufacturing processes
