Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Review plans and recognize potential precast bid opportunities
  • Prepare detailed proposals and shop drawings based on specific plans and specifications
  • Utilize inventory/invoicing software to ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Knowledge of TXDOT and National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) standards for precast concrete
  • Knowledge of precast Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program

Essential Functions

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to work outside of scheduled hours to meet the demands of the position

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of concrete and various aspects of construction
  • Strong mathematics skills with the ability to calculate, analyze data and compute rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and work independently to meet expected deadlines
  • Strong ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Valid driver’s license with record acceptable to the company’s insurers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of civil engineering processes and procedures
  • Experience with MS Excel
  • Experience preparing commercial construction estimates and proposals
  • Excellent phone etiquette
