Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Review plans and recognize potential precast bid opportunities
- Prepare detailed proposals and shop drawings based on specific plans and specifications
- Utilize inventory/invoicing software to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Knowledge of TXDOT and National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) standards for precast concrete
- Knowledge of precast Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program
Essential Functions
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours to meet the demands of the position
Required Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of concrete and various aspects of construction
- Strong mathematics skills with the ability to calculate, analyze data and compute rates, ratios, and percentages
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Strong ability to plan, organize and work independently to meet expected deadlines
- Strong ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel
- Valid driver’s license with record acceptable to the company’s insurers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of civil engineering processes and procedures
- Experience with MS Excel
- Experience preparing commercial construction estimates and proposals
- Excellent phone etiquette
