Once a sales engineer gets the job down, much of the sales team works remotely from home. There’s a lot of flexibility in the work schedule. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will encompass the following:
Making sales calls to prospects as well as existing customers
Traveling approximately 40% of the time throughout the United States (minimal international travel is possible)
Utilizing Salesforce software
Developing solutions to electronic application needs of customers
Creating customer quotes, cost estimates and project timelines
Work with vendors
Manage projects
Working with Epicor Enterprise Resource Planning software
Working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:
A four year degree
Two or more years of experience as a sales engineer specifically with electronics
Possess knowledge of electronic circuits, printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies
Possess the ability to travel up to 40% of the time throughout the United States (minimal international travel is possible)
A solid work history with three or more years at prior employers
